Week 8

“Shopping for Style on a Tight Budget Shows Individual Creativity”

I loved reading this article because I think it speaks to every college aged girl out there that loves fashion and shopping, like me! Who knew that being on a budget was actually creative, not depressing!

The challenge was each girl had $20 to create an outfit from a thrift store. So fun! Thrift store shopping is like magic. You get a chance to reinvent old pieces and give them new and exciting life! Not only is shopping at Goodwill fun, but it also supports their mission. This challenge sparked creative fashion divas and drove them to their greatest outfit creations! One woman said her inspiration was from work to evening. Creating a look like that on a $20 budget seems daunting, but she completed the challenge by being creative and following her inner fashion icon!

The outfit above was inspired by Indiana Jones, cute and classic!

Overall this experience seems like a good time and all participants had fun being creative in fashion!
