“Training Your Brain for Creativity”

According to Ruth Ann Atchley of the University of Kansas, “We’ve known for years that aerobic exercise is very beneficial for thinking and cognition.” Being out in nature enhances your ability to focus while technology distracts you away from being creative for as much as 5 minutes for each distraction, such as email or text. Exercising in nature is a perfect way to enhance creativity. “Facebook notifications demand your attention, while nature just allows you to hangout with her.” Says Atchley. According to her tests exercising in nature gave up to a 50% boost in creativity compared to being around modern technology.
